Dre is at the gas station buying snacks when he notices that the attendee is following him and another black man around the store. Just as Dre gets fed up and confronts the attendee, distracting him, the other black man in the store runs out with a bunch of stolen merchandise. The police arrest Dre and ask him to co-operate but he refuses to snitch because of his upbringing. Meanwhile, one of the popular students at the twins school starts selling cigarettes to the other kids. Jack wants in but Diane has to explain to him that he can’t get away with everything that the white kids do.

Two teenagers go on a blind date in a cafe. The girl, Gwendilin, is dark, beautiful and edgy. And the boy, Arthur, is nerdy and insecure. During the date, Arthur starts to pretend to be someone else to try and impress Gwendilin. Arthur comes clean before Gwendelin tries to leave. Gwendilin tells Arthur that she likes him without his facade, and they arrange to meet again.

A modern slice of life drama centred around a handful of broke, lowly, unaspiring 20-something characters who’s only commonality is that, unlike everyone else, they never found a job worth dreaming about. Nevertheless, they all manage to find different ways to make ends meet but go through hell or high water to do so in their unpredictable service-industry jobs. This ensemble cast comprising of a young acquisitive salesman,a sheepish pizza delivery driver, a brooding tech assistant, and more may hate their mediocre jobs but must persevere in order to keep up with the cost of living in a capitalist society.
